News: Mary J. Blige And Jay-Z Being Sued

Jermaine Jumpp and Michael C. Adams of New Jersey are suing Jay-Z and Mary J. Blige for allegedly stealing a beat they produced.

According to TMZ.com, Jumpp and Adams claim in a federal lawsuit that they haded a CD to the "office" of producer Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins with a song titled "On My Grind."

Four years later, Blige recorded her hit song "Enough Cryin'," produced by Jerkins, which Jumpp and Adams contend sound too similar to their song.

It is not yet clear what Jay-Z's role in the suit is, although the two artists have had a close relationship for years. Earlier this year, Mary J. Blige and Jay-Z embarked on the immensely successful "Heart of the City" tour. Source.
