Aliaune Damala Bouga Time Bongo Puru Nacka Lu Lu Lu Badara Akon Thiam. No, this is not a line for an African folk song, but it is the name of a revolutionary genius. Like many, Akon begun his career at a very young age and most of his songs are inspired by his "jail time." His first hit single "Locked up" is a song that Akon wrote on his experiences in jail which cemented his place in the music scene. It was also on his first album "Trouble" in which songs such as "Lonely" and "Belly Dancer" summarize what Akon is all about. Now its 2 albums later and a whole lotta hits and Akon is out with his 3rd Studio Album.

Kon begins his album on a soft note with Right Now, it sets the tone of the whole album as soft and chilled out. Akon is still rapping about the ladies as he has been in his previous albums with "I wanna Love you" and "Smack That". He demonstrates his "playful" side in tracks such as "Beautiful" and "Troublemaker", these two tracks are amazing and Kon turns up the heat with "Beautiful". However there are tracks such as "Be with you" and "Keep you much longer" which set a tragic melody. In these tracks Kon gets a bit boring and you just want to skip the track. Never the less Konvict shows that he can murda a soft track with "Over the Edge"; this track was blazin, it really makes you think and the hook is hottt. And of course Weezy and Jeezy on one track with "I'm so paid", who better than them right? Although Jeezy makes it boring, Weezy totally kills it with his verse. Twoards the end of the Album we come to the last track, "Freedom". It was a bit of a suprise, cuz akon tries Auto-Tune, and Akon + Auto-Tune= Disaster!!!!! So Basically Kon with an OK album not as hot as his previous two. I feel that akon needs to get some more collabs on his album like T.I and Luda. A verse or hook from them woulda spiced the album up.

Final Rating: 7.5/10

Nice, I would have given the album 6.5 or maybe 7, imo.
